The Problem

NovaTech Creative had a website that looked like it was built in 2018 — because it was. Their bounce rate was at 78%, average session duration under 45 seconds, and the contact form wasn't converting. Despite being a premium creative agency, their digital presence told a completely different story.

Research & Discovery

I started with a two-week discovery sprint: user interviews, heatmap analysis, competitor audits, and a full UX audit of the existing site. Key findings:

  • 78% of visitors were leaving within 30 seconds — the hero wasn't communicating value fast enough
  • The portfolio section required 4+ clicks to reach — too much friction for impatient decision-makers
  • Mobile experience was broken on iOS Safari — a major issue when 62% of traffic was mobile
  • No social proof above the fold — trust signals were buried at the bottom of the page

Design Solutions

Based on the research, I defined five design principles for the redesign: instant value clarity, visual confidence, frictionless navigation, social proof first, and motion with purpose.

🎯 New Hero Architecture

Restructured hero to lead with outcomes, not services — "We build brands that convert" vs "Creative Agency".

⚡ One-Click Portfolio

Portfolio accessible from the hero with a single click — reduced time-to-portfolio from 4 clicks to 1.

📱 Mobile-First Rebuild

Rebuilt entirely mobile-first in Framer — fixed all iOS Safari rendering issues, improved mobile score to 98.

✨ GSAP Animations

Subtle scroll-triggered animations added perceived quality without impacting performance (LCP: 1.2s).

Visual Exploration

Over 40 design iterations explored across 3 creative directions — from editorial minimal to bold kinetic.
